Taskmaster Education are delighted to partner with Chance to Shine to bring you some very special cricket-themed tasks for you and your classmates to try out.
Chance to Shine is a charity whose programmes give children the chance to not only play cricket, but grow a love for the sport, learn vital life skills, improve wider wellbeing and fulfil their potential.
Five of these tasks are extra-special — they’ve been created by Andy Zaltzman, the star and champion of Taskmaster Series 18. Andy, who’s also the statistician for BBC Radio’s legendary cricket commentary programme Test Match Special, is an unashamed, platinum-grade cricket nut.
Cricket is a very special sport because it involves working on your own and as part of a team — much like Taskmaster.
The tasks we’ve set will help you develop both your cricket skills and important life skills. Some tasks are designed to be done solo, while others are perfect to tackle with your friends, classmates, or family.
There are five different types of tasks for you to try. Have fun and give them your best shot!
